Roots Wise Class Updates!
Through Roots Wise and hopefully through my own choices, I am attempting to contribute to a healthier community. So, in a continued attempt to do so I am adding more free classes (or for a minor fee for supplies!) to bring info and education to anyone and everyone regarding herbs, nutrition and a healthy lifestyle. Classes in April and May will be held at Sweet Hollow Herbs in Johnson, Vt and Buffalo Mountain Coop in Hardwick, Vt. Check out the new list below!

Spring Cleanse and Detoxification Class - Megan Walsh
Spring is a great time to cleanse the stagnation and debris that has accumulated over the winter. Learn about the food and herbs that make for a great spring cleanse to boost energy and rebuild that strong and vibrant mind, body and soul. We will discuss the physiology of detoxification and proper liver and digestive support. You will be presented with a step by step dietary plan, a quick, fun and simple movement sequence to get the blood flowing and you will go home with 3-5 days worth of a yummy detox tea! Megan Walsh is an herbalist and nutrition consultant. She sells teas at the Co-op (Roots Wise Herbals). She has taught various herb and nutrition classes over the years, lives in Morrisville and is a member of the coop!

I will also be teaching a 3 part series class on "Herbs A-Z" on Thursdays May 6th, 13th and 20th. This class will focus on as many herbs as we can fit in, with an emphasis on herbs that are either native to New England or that can be easily grown here. We will go over things like parts used/actions/traditional & modern uses/how to grow/how to harvest/how to prepare etc for each of the herbs. Exact times to be announced but it will be an evening class on those nights for about 2 1/2-3 hours each night. I will send of a more detailed write up when i get to it!!! If you are interested in herbs or already have experience with working with herbs, come check it out...it will be of benefit to both the beginner and experienced!
